Filming Blog: Gatorade Commercial
So on the first filming day I was able to get most of the scenes for my commercial done. Eventually I came to back inside to start piecing the recorded pieces together. The following day I will continue recoding after I have pieces together the scenes gathered so far. Seeing as I was tired from filming in the blazing hot sun for so long. I spent most of the day putting the scene together and getting the desired shots.
It was a struggle trying to find out how to work out how to use the camera at first. I wasn’t really used to recording things on my phone because I usually just take pictures. At first I was just acting out the scenes before we turned the cameras on to film. Once I figured out exactly how I was going to act it out we started filming. It took a few takes because the lighting wasn’t really reflecting well in the camera.
With the lighting not being the best I moved to a spot where the lighting was better. After I finished recording the first scene of the film i took a little break to reviewed the takes that we’re gathered. The takes weren’t the best so I started all over agin from ground 0. As soon as I started recording again on the second attempt I got the money shot for the first scene. Everything was perfect in the clip there was good lighting and the camera movement was perfect.
Since I had barely anytime left to film my second scene I had to rush it. The scene required me to do 3-5 jumping jacks before the next scene started. This scene was relatively easy to record and I was able to get it done in the limited amount of time I had. Overall the first day of filming had some rough patches but worked itself out in the end. I am looking forward to day 2 of filming and seeing what the final outcome of the commercial is.
