Production Blog: The Final Day of Filming

Today I filmed the middle potion of my music unlike the first day of filming I struggled to get good shots with relatively any errors. It was kind of cold than today, so I was shaking while trying to hold the camera for recoding. So, I took a little break from filming and drunk some hot chocolate to warm me up a little bit while I also eating a little treat.  After a while I got back to filming the scenes and the quality got a little bit better since I had warmed up. Until I finally got the shots where I was barely shaking, and everything ran smoothly from the acting to the lighting but that was only the first scene of the day.

I took another brief break after getting the desired shot for scene number 6. This scene was the hardest of the bunch to film because I wanted to get a perfect transition from scene 6 to scene 7 so it is visually pleasing. For this scene I had to do a mid-shot of the actor on their bed performing and action.  This was the second mid-shot scene that I had to film for the music video, so I had to make some adjustments to how I was filming and quickly. Once I figured out a good technique for how to get the transition that I needed everything else fell right into place.

Then it was on to the eight scene I could practically see the finish line on the other side since I had only scenes six, seven, eight, and nine left to film. The ninth scene was the easiest of them all that needed to be done was simply film the actor on their phone about to block someone. I really took my time with final shots because I had all the time in the world to film and this was the last day that I had to film before I had to start the editing process. Lucky for me the lightning and acting was perfect, and I was able to get the scene I needed in a relatively short amount of time takes. Before I started to pack things up for the day, I made sure that every scene was to my liking and made sure that no adjustments needed to be made.

The second day was way easier than the first there were so little bumps in bruises, but it was a good day. For the second time of me filming something with a little bit more length to it I feel like I did a lot better than my first experience.  With this experience I used my new adapted filming skills to get thus little skits done. Now that the filming process is over though I compiled the clips from the first day of filming and the second day and got to work on piecing things together. So that I would be fully prepared for the editing stages and hopefully have piece together and interesting music video for an audience.
