The Final Intro Blog
Hi its Desmond I'm still here and ready to take on this final task with all the knowledge that I was able to gain since I started this course. I'm super excited to see what I am able to produce for the final task and put my skills to the test. When I started this class I had no knowledge of how to edit anything together and the first ever video I produced was choppy and lacking any sense of cohesiveness. The second ever video that I produced in my opinion saw a major improvement from the first time that I edited. The clips flowed together way better it was if I actually produced content that was suited for the course and the goals that I needed to achieve before reaching this point. So going into this blog I want to take the little bit of skill I had in the first ever project and the advancements that I made in the second project and combine them to make something truly enjoyable.
Another skill that I was able to acquire was incorporating different angles and movements into my work whether it be a still image or a video. When I first started recording I only used two camera angles a close up, and mid shot. Which made the video feel very one directional and not really tell the story that I had envisioned before recording the final product. Although when I got to the second project I was incorporated a lot more camera angles to really capture the story that I wanted to be told. This time around I used mid shots, close ups, tracking shots, establishing shots and even screen recording to really indulge the audience into the story. So I want to be able to use those new filming techniques and apply them to this project telling a story that the audience won't forget and become in tune with.
Other than that I've still been running track and I'm getting ready for my season which starts in two weeks from. At first I wasn't very good at it and would always come in last in every event I participated in. After constantly losing I decided to start training deeply in track lifting weights from time to time and going on runs to help increase my endurance. This year though I've been going through a lot of hard training that I believe has made me faster and hopefully I can win at some big track meets. I still want to pursue a major in business and analytics so that I now the ins and outs of having a business. If everything goes to plan one day I will create my own business and hopefully its successful and I earn millions of dollars so I can provide for my family.
Last but not least to reflect on the reason why I am here, I am taking AICE Media because I find the different components of filming interesting and maybe one day like to incorporate them into my own film. AICE Media also caught my attention because it is a class that allows you to use are your creative ideas and express yourself though drawings and short clips. Throughout this course I feel as if I've really able to do that with the commercial and the music video. Even expanding my imagination wider than it was before I came into the class opening my eyes to new ideas. With that being said I really am excited to see how far I have progressed in this course and see how much knowledge I have gained.
